- Replace "virtual HRESULT STDMETHODCALLTYPE m"
with "STDMETHOD(m)" (m is a method name).
- Replace "virtual t STDMETHODCALLTYPE m" with
"STDMETHOD_(t, m)" (t is a type. m is a method
name).
- Use override keyword as possible.
Some trivial tweaks that I saw while backporting other stuff:
- es-ES.rc/pt-PT.rc: undesired spaces at the end of groupboxes, which were used as a historic workaround ~ 10 years ago
- zh-TW.rc: wrong indentation (tabs instead of spaces)
- shfldr_netconnect.cpp: superfluous GPL duplication, unneeded exclamation-marks in dbg-prints, undesired double-space formatting
saves a few bytes
Addendum to (#5899)
The change in sk-SK.rc
IDD_NETPROPERTIES DIALOGEX 0, 0, 246, 246
to
IDD_NETPROPERTIES DIALOGEX 0, 0, 246, 216
is an addendum to (#5899). In sk-SK.rc that line was accidentally forgotten to be changed.
The change to "all" rc's:
IDD_STATUS DIALOGEX 0, 0, 200, 280
to
IDD_STATUS DIALOGEX 0, 0, 200, 180
changes the last dialog, that had a greater value here than 220 (which is the max we can use for 640x480-ability).
I decided to use 180 for 2 reasons:
1.) bg-BG.rc already used IDD_STATUS DIALOGEX 0, 0, 200, 180 here, so we can sync all langs to that.
2.) We have some dialogs nearby which do use that same dimension for all langs, e.g.:
IDD_LAN_NETSTATUS DIALOGEX 0, 0, 200, 180
IDD_LAN_NETSTATUSADVANCED DIALOGEX 0, 0, 200, 180
Display the class icons for the installed network components.
Also fixes a bug where the selection change whacked the checkbox of the first item.
Use 0x7fffffff to append the item at the end of the list, as optimization.
- adds 3 missing accelerators for zh-CN.rc, zh-HK.rc, zh-TW.rc for IDC_SHOWTASKBAR
- shrinks the dialog in y to fit on a 640x480 screen, like the XPSP3 and 2k3sp2 dlgs do
- for that some controls positions have to be slightly moved up (which cannot lead to text truncation here, guaranteed)
- only 3 controls change in size:
- IDC_COMPONENTSLIST gets 3 units smaller in height, but is still larger than in XPSP3/2k3sp2. So it is still large enough
- IDC_NETCARDNAME shrinks a bit in width, but is still larger than in XPSP3/2k3sp2, so what fits there will also fit for us
- pushbutton IDC_CONFIGURE is slightly increased in width for all languages because that looks better
except ru-RU.rc (which had the largest width) it is slightly smaller now, but still large enough.
We can use the same width here now for all rcs!
- strip the lorem ipsum text from IDC_DESCRIPTION, which is never supposed to be displayed. That syncs all rcs in that line and slightly shrinks the binary size and fixes CORE-19284.
- add a FIXME comment for a missing accelerator in sv-SE.rc
*as a consequence all rcs do now use the exact same positions and sizes for all controls again, YIPPIE!*
The only exception that the dlg had before from that rule, was the ru-RU.rc IDC_CONFIGURE was larger in x.
But now that is not needed anymore.
On Windows the Network connections folder uses a binary value
and someone forgot about Little Endian when converting it to a DWORD.
Addendum to 7eb3fcf1d (r66485). CORE-9276
This issue has not been very visible because of bugs in CRegFolderEnum.
For: hivedef.inf, powercfg.cpl, sysdm.cpl
and: netshell.dll, netcfgx.dll, shell32.dll, userenv.dll
Also fix "My Documents" and "My Network Places" folder names.
- Fix the visual glitch of the network settings dialog of 2nd setup.
- Shrink the IDC_NETWORK_TYPICAL and IDC_NETWORK_CUSTOM radio buttons of IDD_NETWORKSETTINGSPAGE resource dialog vertically not to be overlapped.

It regressed in master by 0.4.15-dev-5613-g 7a17c7d9ad
It was the only place within the ros sources where message WM_SHOWSTATUSDLG
was sent also from code. And therefore the only one that needed to be updated as well.
The network activity tray icon wasn't showing activity until the Properties
dialog was opened at least once.
This was due to the fact that the tray icon was initialized once with missing
initialization parameters for pContext (default state and Adapter index).
Fix this problem by adding the missing initialization.
CORE-4497, CORE-9017, CORE-15744
Opening Network Status page creates a systematic "ghost" network activity,
activating RX+TX activity icon both on property page and tray, while no Rx/Tx.
This is due to pContext->dw[In|Out]Octets being initialized to 0 and compared
to refreshed interface data.
To circumvent this, copy refreshed interface data to the context on first update.
- Changed some wording according to the translation requirements.
- Fixed some mistakes.
- Changed my name.

The string was displayed properly and was not truncated even before this patch.

Also take this as an opportunity to remove the C++11 standard hack, GCC 8 now defaults to C++14
Instead of messing with global variables and the like, we introduce two target properties:
- WITH_CXX_EXCEPTIONS: if you want to use C++ exceptions
- WITH_CXX_RTTI: if you need RTTI in your module
You can use the newly introduced set_target_cpp_properties function, with WITH_EXCEPTIONS and WITH_RTTI arguments
We also introduce two libraries :
- cpprt: for C++ runtime routines
- cppstl: for the C++ standard template library
NB: On GCC, this requires to create imported libraries with the related built-in libraries:libsupc++, limingwex, libstdc++
Finally, we manage the relevant flags with the ad-hoc generator expressions
So, if you don't need exceptions, nor RTTI, nor use any runtime at all: you simply have nothing else to do than add your C++ file to your module
DD_LAN_NETSTATUS & IDD_LAN_NETSTATUSADVANCED
Reason for the change:
-dlgs sizes did differ (between langs and also within same lang)
-groupboxes sizes did differ (between langs and also within same lang)
-tabbing through both dlgs looked poorly therefore in almost all langs
(margin and groupbox jumping)
-in some languages we had truncation
-in some languages we had unintended scaling for the icon
-after the change all controls and dlgs have the exact same size for all languages,
I managed to achieve the common detominator for
everything that looks good in all languages and guarantees to not introduce any truncation
Only exception is the icons horizontal position which may require individual tweaking!
Updating translation for:
notepad, reactos, usetup, explorer, netshell, msgina, setupapi, shell32.
- Complete and Fix the SPANISH TRANSLATION on Setup
- Correct the random names, fixing the denominations, translate of the English words, and fixing random and incorrect denominations like "Cabinet" or "distribuciones".
- Fixed the notepad shortcuts of "Save" (Ctrl+g) and "Replace".
