Automatically adjusts the spacing of the tray icons according to the small
or large taskbar icons setting. Also, a minor bug fix to the clock spacing
when switching between taskbar icon sizes.
CORE-19380
Update the ROS-specific CompactTrayIcons registry value from a binary
yes/no to have three states. The three states are as follows:
0 (default) - Automatic. When small taskbar icons are used, the
notification area will use compact tray icon spacing. When large
taskbar icons are used, the notification area will use larger tray
icon spacing. While no version of Windows behaves this way, I believe
this is a smart default choice for ReactOS since users wanting large
taskbar icons will generally expect larger tray icon spacing, while
users with small taskbar icons may want more compact spacing.
1 - Never Compact. Regardless of the taskbar icon size setting, the
notification area will always use the larger spacing. This follows
the behavior of Windows 7 and newer versions.
2 - Always Compact. Regardless of the taskbar icon size setting, the
notification area will always use the compact spacing. This follows
the behavior of Windows Vista and older versions.
Fix a clock spacing bug that occurs when changing the taskbar size
before advancing to the next minute. The taskbar clock now adjusts
its spacing when the size of the taskbar changes.
- [EXPLORER] Set maximum balloon width for notification area
- [COMCTL32] Fix balloon tooltip shape
- Limit balloon tooltips from extending past the edges of the monitor, not the edges of the work area.
- Instead of simply repositioning the main rectangle when the balloon is too far towards one edge of the screen,
try flipping the balloon the other way. This is the same behavior as Windows Server 2003.
- Tweak some values used to draw the balloon tooltips to more closely follow the Windows balloon tooltip style.
- Removing trailing whitespace.
- While the new changes are guarded, consider cancelling our Wine sync for common controls.
Our common controls are responsible for many graphical issues and lack of features throughout ReactOS.
CORE-19109
When using large taskbar icon:
- Increase the padding around system tray icons.
- Push the clock text further to the right, increasing the left padding
between the clock and notification icons.
This matches Windows 7 shell behavior.
- Correct the spacing for the clock area, in the case when bPreferDate is
enabled, only two lines are visible, and the day of the week is shorter
than the date.

We are not ready for enabling ATLASSERT. Enabling ATL assertions takes time to realize. CORE-17505
- Disable ATLASSERT by undefining _DEBUG.
- Revert currently non-fixable codes.
Fix SHAppBarMessage (not perfect) by adapting wine code. See CORE-14439.
More work is required. Kept the original code for reference.
Example : SetWindowPos should be called via Post Message.
Code commit is to wake up other developers.
In CNotifyToolbar::AddButton tbBtn.iBitmap (imagelist-index)
was inialised with 0. Tigthvnc adds the icon wihtout NIF_ICON flag.
So the wrong icon index was kept and later replaced.
With these, we generate the WM_CONTEXTMENU and NIN_(KEY)SELECT
shell icon notifications that applications expect when they handle
shell notification icons with uVersion >= 3.
This fixes in particular the previously unresponsive icon of KVIrc 4.x,
and more generally *all* the notifiation icons of Qt applications.
CORE-10605 #resolve
WatchList is a set of array objects, initialized with "new[]", so it should be freed with "delete[]" to free all of its elements. Otherwise using only "delete" only frees the first variable but not its array. This would lead to an undefined behaviour.
- Introduce the TRAYNOTIFYDATAW structure, as documented by Geoff
Chappell in "WM_COPYDATA for Taskbar Interface", at
http://www.geoffchappell.com/studies/windows/shell/shell32/api/shlnot/copydata.htm
that is the data structure passed between shell32 and explorer for
communicating shell notify icon information.
- In Shell_NotifyIcon(), correctly capture the (ANSI and) UNICODE
structures provided by the caller, properly taking into account for
the different NOTIFYICONDATA structure sizes existing out there.
The different strings are now properly null-terminated (especially
szTip if it needs to be truncated out), and the flags validated.
- Remove the now unneeded "SHELL_NotifyIcon()" helper function.
[EXPLORER] Use TRAYNOTIFYDATAW and adjust the callers.
MSDN says that these values are not used but apparently they are used as a padding around the buttons.
This helps to center the buttons in the notification area.
